An Hour of Solidarity for Writing Mothers
Sunday, January 10, 2010 is our first Hour of Solidarity event.
Make plans for an uninterrupted hour of writing. These plans can include:
- Begging, borrowing, or stealing childcare
- Waking up early
- Staying up late
- Popping in a riveting (and educational, of course!) DVD for your tots
Sign up by or writing a note on the blog.
Rules:
- You may choose any hour you want to write, as long as it is on Sunday, January 10, 2010.
- You must turn off Internet and e-mail access, and any other electronic distractions (cell phone, etc) during this time.
- You must write for the full hour, even if it does not go as you hoped or planned.
Compare notes with other writing mothers via the blog on Solidarity day (before and after you complete your hour, not during the hour, please!); post the results of your writing hour (poetry, prose, or comments about your experience) via the blog comments feature.
